JAFCO Dog Muzzle Products

• Clear vinyl or White and Black polyethylene plastic with reinforced neoprene traps
• Weight: 4.3 ounces for the polyethylene (size #4 – see figure 1)
• Weight: 7.3 ounces for the clear vinyl (size #4)
• Six sizes in one style - two straps (as pictured below); sizes 0 - 5 (available w/3rd trap, in sizes 2-5) (see figure 2)
• Two sizes in the Rottweiller style - three straps; sizes small #3R & large #4R
• Developed by a police service dog trainer 38 years ago, for work with tough, hard hitting police dogs!

• Designed to be worn for extended periods without inhibiting the dog’s breathing, barking, panting or stress responses. Can be left on all day with water available.
• Designed so dogs can drink with the muzzle on, using a water bowl or bucket

• The felt nosepiece should be just below the dog's stop with the end of the muzzle touching the
  dog's nose.
• When on the dog:
  • pull the muzzle out and down
  • pull the muzzle out and up
  • if it comes off, it is either:
    • too loose because straps are not tight enough, or
    • too big for the dog
  • the muzzle should fit comfortably and allow the dog to pant and bark.

• Prevents wound licking (replaces the Elizabethan collar in many cases)
• Prevents eating rocks, garbage, poison, etc.
• Prevents injuries from dog fights and conflicts during breeding
• Some transportation companies allow dogs if properly muzzled
• Helps with the handling or training of aggressive or problem dogs
• Ideal for police and protection training

SIZES

• Six sizes available in the two-strap style (figure 1)
• Size 0 is smallest & fits the small breeds
• Size 5 is largest & fits Great Danes, etc.
• Two sizes for Rottweilers; size 3R (most females) and 4R (most males)
